Already a foster carer? Transfer to Warrington!
October 25, 2017
A lot of our work centres around recruiting new foster carers. But what about experienced ones?
We’re making real strides in welcoming more foster carers who have fostered for Independent Fostering Agencies (IFAs), to transfer over to us here at the Local Authority in Warrington. We’re also getting lots of enquiries from carers who have previously fostered and are looking to get back into it too. This year, we’ve already welcomed a parent and child carer; a carer for teenagers and a couple who have fostered for many years and have returned after a break. All of these experienced carers transferred over to us in just a couple of months.
It’s great news. Our door is always open for experienced carers, and we offer a comprehensive package of benefits. We have a strong financial offer, and can match your current fees. Being based in Warrington of course also means that you will always be caring for local children, undertaking shorter school and contact runs. You will have enhanced and more streamlined support, with very strong communication between children’s social workers and fostering supervising social workers (we all sit in the same office!).
